Pics, or it didn’t happen. So say those who ardently post selfies.
But selfies can be used for more than an image of oneself or a few friends to document a situation or encounter. They can be used by startups, small businesses and large firms alike. How? Well, let’s look at it from a marketing viewpoint. Say you have a product or service you want to promote. Why not take the “selfie” with people in it. For example, say you have a new organic mattress. Wouldn’t a “selfie” of the mattress providing a restful sleep to an individual or couple send a greater message than an image of the bed itself ? Or, how about a “selfie” of kids having fun by jumping up and down on the mattress?
Or, how about a restaurant or pizzeria. A “selfie” of customers enjoying the dishes and having a good time sends a stronger message than images of the food itself.
Have you guessed it yet? “Selfies” used to promote an individual, products and services is a free form of advertising for your products, business and/or services. What if you’re a wannabe model. Your “portfolio” of “selfies” are self-explanatory.
And the growing array of platforms on which these “selfies” can be posted is growing. There’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and MySpace to name a few. The Attitude Group can even use Twitter to send out a link to bring others to view your business’ “selfies.”
What does all this mean?
It’s the 21st century’s version of “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and there is no media communications company more experienced to help you, your products, your services, and your business than The Attitude Group and its long and successful track record of social media management campaigns to increase awareness of an individual, group, business, product or service.
